Job Title: Scheduler – Home Care Services

Position Summary

The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and maintaining daily caregiver schedules to ensure timely, high-quality care for clients. This role serves as a key communication link between clients, caregivers, and internal teams, ensuring coverage, compliance, and continuity of care in a fast-paced home care environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and maintain daily, weekly, and ongoing caregiver schedules based on client care plans and caregiver availability
  • Match caregivers to clients based on skills, certifications, location, and client preferences
  • Communicate schedule assignments, updates, and changes to caregivers and clients in a timely and professional manner
  • Handle call-outs, last-minute schedule changes, and emergency coverage to ensure uninterrupted client care
  • Monitor schedules for compliance with labor laws, overtime limits, and agency policies
  • Coordinate with nursing, HR, and operations teams regarding new hires, caregiver availability, and client start-of-care
  • Update and maintain accurate scheduling and visit records in scheduling software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Confirm scheduled visits, track attendance, and address missed or late shifts
  • Respond to caregiver and client scheduling inquiries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and empathy
  • Support payroll accuracy by verifying hours worked and resolving time or scheduling discrepancies
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as required
