We are seeking a highly empathetic and detail-oriented Intake Specialist to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for being the first point of contact for potential clients, gathering critical information, and assessing the viability of new cases. This role requires advanced English proficiency, strong interpersonal skills, and prior experience handling legal intake, preferably within sensitive practice areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Conduct detailed intake interviews to collect accurate and complete information about potential legal cases.
  • Evaluate and qualify leads based on firm criteria and case eligibility.
  • Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when handling sensitive and emotional situations.
  • Clearly and assertively communicate next steps, expectations, and required documentation to potential clients.
  • Accurately document all client interactions and case details in the firm’s CRM or case management system.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and legal staff to ensure smooth case handoff.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all ethical and legal standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
  • Minimum 1 year of proven experience as an Intake Specialist within a legal firm.
  • Strong understanding of legal intake processes and client screening.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple intakes while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred / Plus Qualifications

  • Prior experience handling sexual harassment cases or other sensitive employment or civil matters.
  • Familiarity with U.S. legal terminology and client intake best practices.
